Holiday Wish List

Welcome to my holiday wishlist—curated as a thoughtful shopping guide for anyone who shares a love for beautiful, well-made things. Almost everything on this list is something I personally use and adore, which means I truly stand behind each pick. I’ve focused on local, women-owned businesses wherever possible, and when that wasn’t an option, I chose Canadian brands that embody the same heart and quality. Consider this your go-to guide for meaningful, feel-good gifting this season.

#1 Roland Coat

I’ve been on the hunt for a dressy winter jacket that isn’t too tailored, and the minute I spotted this relaxed-fit brown coat from Klozet, I added it to my husband’s Christmas list! I just knew it would fit me perfectly. Mostly wool with a touch of silk, it’s soft, cozy, and hopefully it feels as good as it looks (wink wink)!

#2 Gaston Blouse

I don’t know about you, but the past couple of years I’ve really struggled to find shirts and tops I love. I’m really into this lightweight blouse from Aritzia—the little ruffle adds a soft, feminine touch to an otherwise classic, more masculine style, and it’s perfect for dressing up or down.

#3 The Farrah Hi-Rise Wide Jean

I have a pair of these Denim Forum Farrah jeans from Aritzia in black, and I’m ready to add a second in a classic dark blue wash. Post-babies, high-rise jeans are a must for me, and I love how these look and feel on. Honestly, once you find a pair that fits like a glove, why not get them in every colour?

#4 Paige Ankle Bootie

I’m really loving these Sam Edelman booties in the Spiced Pecan leather. I’ve been on the hunt for a good square-toe bootie to add to my wardrobe, and these check all the boxes. The chunky block heel is the perfect height, and the Spiced Pecan colour feels like such a nice alternative to the usual black or brown.

#5 Lambswool Oversized Scarf

I’m not usually a big scarf wearer, but I’m obsessed with this British brand I discovered at Croft Shop here on PEI—The Tartan Blanket Company. I have a couple of their Triangle Scarves (which I’m truly obsessed with), but this oversized 100% lambswool one made its way onto my holiday wishlist. The colours and patterns are timeless, and honestly, just so fun.

#6 GENEVIVE Leather Gloves

Last but not least, I love a warm pair of leather gloves—and the little bow detail on these gloves from Danier have just the right amount of extra. The lining is 70% wool, which probably isn’t surprising at this point… I clearly love wool!

#1 Wash Oil Cleaner

I’ve been using this skincare line for years and I absolutely love it. I get asked all the time what I use on my skin, and I have to give a lot of credit to this specific oil-based wash from Wildcraft. I have dry skin, so I use it morning and night. The ingredients are all natural and vegan, and the fact that the brand is Canadian and women-owned is just the icing on the cake + the price point is so good!

#2 Tinted Moisturizer & Skin Tint

I don’t wear a lot of makeup, but I do use—and love—this Tinted Moisturizer & Skin Tint by ISLA. It’s another product I’ve used for years. It’s super lightweight, has SPF 40, and promises a “dewy finish”… and let me tell you, it delivers!

#3 Gucci Bloom Parfum

I’m going to be honest—I’ve never been a perfume wearer or lover. I can barely breathe walking into Sephora because the scents are so overpowering. BUT I got a little sample of this Gucci Bloom perfume in the mail and, shamelessly, I fell in love. I adore florals, and this one truly gives off the most beautiful jasmine and rose notes. Since I don’t use much at a time, I just buy the smaller travel-size bottles—they’re easier on the pocketbook and last me forever.

#4 KUSH Big Hit Lifting + Volumizing Mascara

I was not blessed with long or thick lashes—someone once even told me most of mine are “baby lashes.” I’ve always struggled to find a mascara that doesn’t go on chunky, but this one from Milk Makeup is perfect. Plus, it’s vegan!

#5 Magnesium Spray

I’m a very active person and I sweat a lot during my workouts, and I recently came across this Magnesium Spray from Maud Home that’s infused with lavender essential oil. I’ve started spraying it on my feet before bed and not only does it smell amazing, but it’s been so helpful for those occasional calf spasms I get at night.

#1 Alberto Cordless Accent Lamp

I just cannot tell you how much I adore this lamp available at Tosh Co. Home Store. Beyond the obvious (that beautiful floral silhouette), it has a lovely textural element that looks and feels like plaster. And the best part? It’s cordless! Cordless lamps are quickly becoming staples in our design plans—there’s nothing better than not having to work around a cord, which, let’s be honest, always seems to show no matter what angle you’re looking from.

#2 Crochet Lace Tea Towels

It can be as simple as adding the cutest pair of tea towels to subtly elevate your kitchen. I love that these hand towels, from Maud Home are linen—so timeless and effortless—and they look beautiful no matter the season.

#3 Linen Reed Diffuser

I’ll admit, I only recently started using reed diffusers in my bathrooms. I’ve avoided them for years because I usually find the scents overpowering and a little irritating. But that changed when I discovered Brightfield—a Canadian, women-led company based in Toronto that Maud Home carries. They focus on creating non-toxic scents that genuinely feel good, and it makes all the difference.

#4 Blue Ruffle Pillow

I’ve used this pillow in a project before, and while I don’t typically repeat selections from one project to the next, I might have to make an exception for this sweet ruffle pillow from Loloi (also available at Maud Home). Floral patterns get me every time, and add a ruffled edge into the mix and… sold!

#5 Rhodes Ash Pitcher

Over here at Plank & Pine, we’re always on the hunt for vases with an organic look and feel, and this beauty from Tosh Co. Home Store is truly stunning. It’s gorgeous filled with florals or greenery, and its neutral, earthy tone means it can work just about anywhere in the home. It brings in those old-world vibes that every space needs—even just a touch of.

#6 Hand Woven Jute Rug

Can you spot a theme here? Florals—always florals! I’ve had this lovely primarily jute rug from Loloi (available at Tosh Co. Home Store) tucked in the back of my mind, just waiting for the perfect project (I’m thinking an entryway, mudroom, or laundry room!). I will say this: you will be seeing this same rug in a different colour in an upcoming project… you’ll just have to stay tuned for those photos!

I hope this little guide brings you inspiration—and maybe even helps you discover a few new favourites of your own. Happy holiday shopping!
