Our clients were starting to feel cramped in their home, and brought us on to design a large addition that included a new formal entry, kitchen with pantry, dining area, and great room. We worked with a local architect to make the large open concept space feel more personal and intentional and designed all of the cabinetry and millwork, which included door profiles, dovetailed drawer boxes, and inset construction.

The farmhouse is home to three busy young boys, so we were very conscious to avoid furnishings that lacked longevity, and instead chose quality pieces with kiln-dried frames and reliable spring systems. For the colour palette, we took inspiration from the surrounding landscape and chose soft creams, browns, and jewel tones, and laid out the kitchen to take advantage of views of the fields beyond the house. Now, the home feels like a calm oasis amid the chaos of everyday life.
